There’s nothing like walking outside and feeling the rays of sunlight beaming on your face. It creates a high that’s hard to duplicate anywhere else. That’s why I love being outside in the summertime! However, in the summer, your skin can be the most vulnerable because we tend to expose more of our skin. Ultraviolet (UV) rays are also stronger in the spring and summer seasons. Though UV rays only make up a small portion of the sun’s rays, when they do reach your skin, they can damage your cell’s DNA and stop the normal growth of your skin cells.
Prolonged exposure to UV rays make you more at risk for sunburn. The more sunburn you’ve experienced, the more at risk you are for skin cancer. UV rays are strongest between the hours of 10am and 4pm. But when you’re on vacation or out and about, that’s exactly the time of day you’re more than likely to be outside! So instead of hiding inside all day, there are some ways you can limit your skin’s exposure to UV rays. Below I've found some looks for 4 sun-blocking items you can wear for protection and still look cute at the same time.
SunglassesI see no point in buying sunglasses unless they are big and cover half of your face! You need them to protect your eyes and the bigger they are, they can also provide protection for your face. Sunglasses give you the perfect opportunity to glam it up!

Hats are the perfect way to shield your face from the sun. I love a big floppy or funky hat to play up the drama. Try wearing a dramatic hat while you're running normal errands-it’ll add a little excitement to a regular day :)

I love to feel the swish of maxi dresses as I walk. These dresses have come back in the past couple of years, and there are plenty of beautiful choices to choose from. Maxis are good for providing limited sun protection for your legs, but still allow a nice breeze to help you deal with the hot weather. Wear light, airy colors to keep yourself cool.
